Vivian Davis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Vivian Charline Davis, daughter of Vernon and Emma W. Eilenstein Rogers, was born January 4, 1932, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life on her birthday, Friday, January 4, 2013, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years.
On February 24, 1951, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Davis, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Donald, on January 11, 2010.
Vivian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donica and David Basnett, of Destin, Florida; a grandson, Chase Basnett, currently serving in the United States Navy and stationed in Twenty-nine Palms, California; a granddaughter, Cherish Basnett, of Joplin, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and graduated from Lebanon High School. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband, and daughter, Vivian worked as a sales clerk for Reese Pharmacy in downtown Lebanon for a number of years.
Vivian made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Temple. She was still teaching the Kindergarten Sunday School Class that she had taught for fifty years.
She had, along with her husband, Donald, taken wonderful care of her mother during her senior years. Vivian loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Vivian was a loving mother, and grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
