Vonna Mae Blankenship (Seymour)'s Obituary
Vonna Mae Blankenship, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, departed this life surrounded by loved ones the evening of Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Billings, Missouri. Mae was 74. One of ten children, she was born May 27, 1946, to Leslie Holey and Mildred Beatrice (Owens) Blankenship, in Webster County, Missouri.
A life-long resident, she was raised in Seymour and went to Gentry School. She had five sisters and four brothers, Virginia Lee, Vera June, Veda Sue, Vernon David, Vada Jean, Vayden Eugene, Verna Carol, Virgil Dean (deceased), and Bobby Gene (deceased). She had five children, Tammy and David Claxton of Seymour, Missouri, Donna and Tony Gilbert of Billings, Missouri, Charles E. Miller, III (deceased), James Miller of Seymour, and Roger and Jackie Miller of Billings, Montana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her dear friend Maggie. Mae worked all her life, always doing something. She worked at H.D. Lee, Haggles, and Fasco until they closed. She drove local Amish the past twelve years and that was her favorite job. Outside of working she loved growing flowers and loved her hummingbirds. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Charles E. Miller, III. Mae leaves behind a lifetime of memories and happy moments for a family she loved. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
