I am so sorry Carolyn, but in conversation about Jane Allen, my male secretary, Jerry, typed the wrong name. I have always coveted your friendship through the years as well.

I am so sorry Carolyn, but in conversation about Jane Allen, my male secretary, Jerry, typed the wrong name. I have always coveted your friendship through the years as well.
Walton was a blessing to have as a friend and a boss. I first made his acquaintance as a secretary, contacting him for the open position at the Directorate of Combat Development. He hired me on three separate occasions after I was siphoned off to fill other secretarial positions, and in the course of his support earned three promotions. I admired his Christian work ethic, the manner in which he encouraged his staff, his expression of love for his wife, Jane, and his children Maci and Matt. He was well loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and remembered always. Rose Greene
Walton was a great influence on all of us, from his leadership, mentorship and care for people, always putting others ahead of himself, to his personal friendship for over 20 years. His compassion for others and love of Christ showed through in everything that he did at home, church and in the workplace. Carolyn, Maci and Matt, Thank You for sharing your husband and father with us. He is greatly missed, but he will be waiting for us when we get Home. Richard Rodgers
Walton was a great leader with the ability to mentor subordinates, peers ,and superiors. He had a broad range of skills and knowledge with a novel approach to looking at and solving problems. Was always great talking with him about work, his family, and his tree farm. Condolences to his family.

Walt always had a smile and was fun to work around. When I started working in DCD he would take time to teach and mentor me even though we worked in different offices. This continued throughout the years I was there and I always appreciated his time and advice. He grew up in Clearwater and I grew up in Dunedin; before I moved back we talked about it and what is best for the family. I will miss Walt.
Walton and I had a love of college football, him the LSU Tigers. We would recap Saturday's games over coffee on Monday mornings in the fall. He was a great friend and I miss him already. Rest in Peace my friend.
