Wanda Bailes (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Wanda Faye Bailes, daughter of the late William and Clara (Jones) Van Buren, was born on October 20, 1944 in Farber, Missouri and departed this life on June 12, 2019 in Fenton, Missouri. At the time of her passing she was 74 years, 7 months, and 21 days of age.
Wanda was united in marriage to L. C. Snook on June 25, 1965. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed time on the water fishing. Wanda loved her Lord and attended church faithfully while her health permitted.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, L. C. Snook; her parents; four brothers, James Wilson, Melvin Wilson, Raymond Wilson, and Johnnie Jones; and three sisters, Helen Patterson, Mary Wilson, and Alberta Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta & husband Donald Brown of High Ridge, MO; two grandsons, Marcus & wife Regina Brown and Travis & wife Tawny Brown; three brothers, Charles Van Buren, Thomas Wilson, and Lester Wilson; and four sisters, Teresa McCoy, Debra Wilson, Vickie Wilson, and Eva Rogers. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Urbana with Bro. Wade Tierney officiating. Escorts will be Marcus Brown, Travis Brown, Rodney McLemore, Daniel Brown, Darin Brown, and Dave Bagy. Honorary escorts will be Charles Van Buren, Lester Wilson, and Tom Wilson. Interment will be in the Mission Ridge Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Urbana. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
