Wanda Faye Beckler (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Wanda Faye Beckler was born on December 1, 1941, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Charles Wilson Coffey and Dorothy Juanita Coffey. Wanda graduated in May 1959 from Central High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wanda married Kenneth Boye Beckler on September 27,1966. Together they have four children, Karen (Cope) Burkett of Bolivar MO, James Cope (Jan) Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Juanita (Beckler) Holtschneider, Marshfield MO, Kimberley (Beckler) Payne (Jeff), Bolivar MO. Wanda is survived by her children Karen, James, Juanita and Kimberley as well as grandchildren John Giedinghagen (Amanda) Marshfield, MO, Matthew Burkett, Tucson, AZ, Kendra Dunn, Springfield, MO, Mary Beth Dampier (Cody) Urbana, MO, Mason Payne (Kareena) Colorado Springs, CO; Mia Raney (Lance) Bolivar, MO, Sam Holtschneider, Columbia, MO, David Holtschneider, Marshfield, MO.; great-grandchildren Candice Shropshire (Calum) Cleveland, TN; Shaylin (Kaden) Giedinghagen, Springfield, MO, Brantley Dunn Springfield, MO.; as well as 11 great-great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren on the way. Her nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Norm Coffey; her mother, Dorothy Overturf; her husband, Kenneth Beckler; her sister, Frances Padilla; a great-grandson, Aiden Burkett; and her father Charles Coffey. Wanda was saved at the age of nine during a revival in Atlanta GA with her uncle, Pastor Paul Coffey. She dedicated her life to ministry and serving others. She and her husband Kenneth served as GA’s and RA’s Director at Calvary Baptist Church in Jennings MO. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking Wednesday night dinners at church. After moving to Bolivar MO, Wanda and Ken were Sunday School teachers at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed bowling and traveled with her friends and family to many National and State tournaments. She loved fishing at her favorite place on a boat at Pomme De Terre Lake at the sunken dock catching more Crappie than Ken. She always had to have her hair done, nails polished and lipstick on before she went fishing. Wanda enjoyed adventures and spending time with her children and grandchildren that led her all over the United States and especially enjoyed when those adventures included stops at a casino. Wanda’s Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on November 29, 2025, at Sweet Kayle in Bolivar, Missouri. Friends and guests are invited come and go anytime between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
