Wanda Bozarth (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Wanda Bozarth, 81, of Bolivar passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 after suffering a brief illness. Wanda passed away peacefully in her sleep. Wanda was born to Vencil and Maggie Snell on April 23, 1940. She was one of two children. Wanda was married to James (Jake) Bozarth for 52 years. He was her high school sweetheart. To this union four children were born. James (Jim), Marvin (Dale), Jeanette (Lou), and Pamela (Pam). Wanda was saved at a very young age. She was a member of Fair Play Baptist Church, and attended there until Jake's health caused them to sell the farm and move back to Bolivar. She later attended Bolivar Pentecostal Church of God with her daughter's. Wanda loved to cook, she was known for her fried chicken, tacos, and Texas cake. No one went away from her table hungry. Wanda loved to fish. Most days you could find her fishing at her pond on the farm, grandchildren in tow helping. Wanda worked for Hillside Estates as a cook and later for Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility until her retirement. Wanda has ten grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband James (Jake) Bozarth, her parents Vencil and Maggie Snell, her brother, Don Snell, a grandson Christopher Pitts, sisters-in-law Pat Corley and Charlene Snell, brothers-in-law Virgil Moore and John Corley.
Wanda is survived by her four children, Jim Bozarth and fiancé of Kansas, Dale and Beverly Bozarth of Bolivar, Lou and Mickey Culbertson of Fair Play, Pam Bozarth and fiancé Joe Taylor of Bolivar, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Services for Wanda will be on Monday, January 24 at the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at the Butler Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. Memorial contributions for Wanda may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
