She was raised in the Camdenton, Missouri area, and graduated from Camdenton High School. Shortly after she and James were married, they made their home in the Kansas City, Missouri area, and lovingly raised their daughters. Wanda was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and worked at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence for a number of years. She also worked as an Avon representative for several years. In 1993, after they retired, Wanda and Jim moved to Conway, Missouri, and made their home.
Wanda had professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Twilight Church near Conway, Missouri.
She was very happy to be near the Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival as she greatly liked Bluegrass music. She enjoyed sports and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team and the Kansas City Chiefs and liked watching their games on television whenever she could. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her home. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
