Wanda Florence Dibben's Obituary
Wanda Florence Dibben, daughter of George and Bessie Williams Brown, was born July 7, 1956, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, February 3, 2009, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-two years, six months, and twenty-six days. On April 20, 2002, she was united in marriage to Tommy Joe Dibben, and they shared the last six years. Her father preceded her in death. Wanda is survived by her husband, Tommy, of the home; three daughters, Kimberly Barker, Sabrina Blackburn, and her fiancé, Juston Alkire, and Larranda Stoner, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Travis Stoner, and his wife, Rachael, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Kassandra, Krystene, Krissy, Juston, Alyssa, Travis, Jr., Madison, Cloe, and Kennedy; her mother, Bessie Ellis, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Ralph Brown, and his wife, Kathy, of Conway, Missouri, and Bobby Ellis, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Tracy Ellis, of Lebanon, Missouri, Connie Carlson, of Springfield, Missouri, and Sue Ivy, and her husband, Gerald, of Wichita, Kansas; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon High School. Wanda was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother to her children, and had also worked as a waitress at Cornerstone Subs and Pizza Shop in Lebanon for seventeen years. For the last few years, she and Tommy had made their home in Lebanon. Wanda had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Grace Calvary Church in Lebanon. She was a very outgoing person who enjoyed her work and liked visiting with the customers and her co-workers. She was also an excellent artist and loved caring for her cats. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home , burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 4.
