Wanda Earline Moore (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Wanda Earline Moore, daughter of Earl and Velma (Owens) Barnett, was born on April 15, 1940, in Norwood, Missouri. Earline went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 20, 2018, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 5 days.
Earline graduated from Norwood High School in 1958.
A hard worker, Earline worked at Tobin Hamilton Shoe Factory in Mansfield, Missouri for 35 years until the factory closed in 1995, and then Emerson Climate Technologies in Ava, Missouri, until her retirement in 2010. No one had a stronger work ethic than Earline. Joe always said she was like a little gray squirrel, always running around doing something. She loved gardening and was always asked to bring her corn and green beans to dinners. She was also one of the best pickle makers around!
Earline loved her family, and although she didn't have children of her own, she called everyone in the family "her kids." She loved having her grandsons spend weekends with her, playing outside, playing with the animals, working in the garden, and cooking whatever they wanted to eat.
In addition to her parents, Earline was preceded in death by sisters Ilene Dorris, Ruby McKinney, Barbara Bandy; a nephew, Bill Dorris; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Barnett.
Earline is survived by her soul-mate of many years, Joe Coday, of the home; brother, Jack Barnett and wife Bonita of Norwood, Missouri; step-daughter, Janet Brooke and husband Brad of Mansfield, Missouri; grandsons, Adam Brooke and wife Tessa of Mansfield, Missouri; Nick Brooke and wife Sydni of Telford, Shropshire England; Jason Brooke and wife Janisha of Seymour, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Karsyn, Addie, Delia and Elwyn; nephews, Jerry Dorris and family; Darrell Bandy and family; Terry McKinney and family; nieces, Jacklyn Shaffer and family; Tamme
Hutsell and family; and special neighbors and friends, John, Angie and Shelby Slate. She leaves behind several other very special family members.
