Wanda Russell (Seymour)'s Obituary
Wanda Jean Russell, daughter of James Lueallen and Emma Miller Lueallen, was born December 8, 1922 in Seymour, Missouri and departed this life on November 17, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-seven years, eleven months, and nine days.
On June 14, 1941 she was united in marriage to Charley Russell and to this union two children were born. Charley preceded her in death on December 14, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, David Russell, and several brothers and sisters. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Jan Swearengin, of Rogersville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Becky Russell of Seymour; grandchildren, Amanda Allman and husband, Chris, of Clever, Lori Rabourn and husband, Shane, of Springfield, Heath Russell of Seymour, Michelle Lawrence and husband, Mike, of Seymour, Nikki Hair and husband, Eric, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Mark Lawrence and fiancé, Haylee, Justin, Nick, and Emily Allman, Bradley, Jackson, and Jacob Rabourn; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She lived all her life in Seymour where she was a homemaker and had worked at Brown Shoe Company as well as being a minister’s wife for over 50 years. Wanda had made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a member of the Diggins Baptist Church. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed reading and was a member of the Seymour Friends of the Library. She also enjoyed growing flowers and loved spending time with her family. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her long life and will always cherish the special times we had with her.
Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. in Seymour Masonic Cemetery.
