Wanda Mae Skinner Powell (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Wanda Mae (Turner) Skinner Powell, daughter of the late Joe and Lettie “Dalton” Turner, was born on November 30, 1930 in Buffalo, MO and passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, MO surrounded by her family. Wanda was 86 years, 11 months, and 5 days of age.
She lived her entire life in the Buffalo area. She was saved at North Mt. Pleasant Church in 1946 and was baptized and joined the church; She was a faithful member and loved the Lord. She was united in marriage to Vinis Skinner on June 28, 1953 by the Elder Russell Ingram and to this union, three children were born.
Wanda was preceded in death by Vinis on March 14, 2003 and later married Cletis Powell on September 19, 2014. Besides her husband Vinis, she was also preceded in death by a son, Donnie; a granddaughter, Cassie Armstrong; three brothers, Bobby Wayne Turner, Billie Joe Turner and James Turner. She is survived by her husband, Cletis; a son, Dennis and wife Nancy of Elkland; a daughter, Dewanna Kay Armstrong and husband Greg of Buffalo; her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and husband Doug, Curtis Skinner and wife Sara, Dusty Armstrong and wife Becky, Kelly Johnson and husband Justin, Brandy Galloway and husband Andrew, Abigail Williams and husband Darrin, Jacob Jones and wife Autumn, Jay Jones and wife Veronica; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Chloe Adams, Faye Howe, Betty Rogers and Evelyn Hale; and two sisters-in-law, June Turner and Reba Turner. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family who will all miss her dearly.
