Wanda Triplett (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Wanda Maxcine Triplett, age 83, of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at CMHCF, in Bolivar. Wanda was born on December 16, 1934, to Wayne and Opal Marshall, in Bolivar. She had 2 brothers and 1 sister.
She graduated from Bolivar High School where she made many friends, whom she still went to eat lunch with every month.
She worked at the local telephone company when she met her husband, Darrell A. Triplett. They were married October 26, 1953. To this union a daughter, Cindy Luetta Lipscomb was born. Wanda and Darrell were together for 65 years before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy; parents, Wayne and Opal; and both brothers, Robert Marshall and Billie Marshall.
Wanda worked almost 20 years at the local nursing home. She loved her work and the people she worked with. She enjoyed helping her patients and just being there for them.
She loved animals and had many dogs and cats over the years. She could never walk away from a stray. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo with her friends, and enjoying life.
She is survived by her sister, Judith Wilson, of Willard; grand-daughter, Jennie Fetters, of Bolivar; grandson, Nicholas Sloan, of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Chelsie Evans and Larry Fetters III, of Bolivar, and Lillian Sloan and Charlotte Sloan, of Springfield; her best friend, Shellieanne Nies, of Bolivar; and many nephews and nieces.
Wanda will be lying in state, to view and pay last respects on Monday, October 22, and Tuesday, October 23.
