Wanda Weeks (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Wanda Lorene (Skinner) Weeks, daughter of the late Charley and Nellie Skinner, was born January 1, 1942 in Buffalo, Mo. She went to be with her Loving Savior Friday, April 10, 2020 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She was 78 years, three months and nine days of age.
She lived her entire life around the Buffalo area. Wanda was saved August 4, 1964, in the town of March under a tent on a Tuesday night, at the age of 22. She was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member and she loved the Lord.
She was united in marriage with James Weeks June 12, 1959 by the Elder Joe Pinkley. To this union three children were born: Dewayne, Rodney and Regina. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they were her life. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching wildlife from her kitchen door. Wanda never knew a stranger and was loved by everyone.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents Charley and Nellie Skinner; three brothers: Leroy, L.D., and Vinis; one sister, Marie Hill.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years James Weeks, two sons: Dewayne Weeks of the home, and Rodney and wife Katrina Weeks of Louisburg, Mo.; one daughter, Regina and husband Jerry Cobb of Buffalo, Mo. She also is survived by six grandchildren: Crystal and husband Eric Weeks of Odessa, Tx., Jay and wife Ruth Weeks of Del Rio, Tx., Angel Weil of Dewey, OK., Steven and wife Michelle Cobb of Buffalo, Mo., Micah Witt of Louisburg, Mo. and Rick Witt of Louisburg, Mo. and six great-grandchildren. Wanda is also survived by one brother, Darrell Skinner of Elkand, Mo and four sisters, Ruth Helen White of Springfield, Mo., Florence Hogoboom of Eldorado, KS., Patsy Bailey of Independence, MO. and Phyllis Ray of Buffalo, Mo. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her and she loved them.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020 in the Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. Dusty Armstrong and Bro. Dennis Skinner officiating. Music will be by Becky and Dusty Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Jay Weeks, Steven Cobb, Mark Pinkley, Micah Witt, JR Hogoboom, and Wayne Vest. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Witt, Jeremiah Krattley and Dennis Skinner. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
