Wanetta Adkins' Obituary
Clara Wanetta Adkins, daughter of William Albert and Snoda Mae Miller Nations, was born August 9, 1930 in Macks Creek, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, seven months and one day. On December 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to Charles Jacob Adkins and to this union two children were born. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1990 after forty-two years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lee, Sherman and Eldon Nations, and two sisters, Lola Stoufer and Ora Harrell. Survivors include her children, William Henry Adkins of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Christine Glaser and her husband, Bill, of Climax Springs, Missouri; four grandchildren, Chrisanna Lane and her husband, Craig, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Calista Lee and her husband, Andy, of Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia Ann Robertson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Paul Jacob Adkins and his wife, Yunni, of Dallas, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Nations and his wife, Jean, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Fred Nations and his wife, Barbara, of Sugar Creek, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wanetta was proud to be a life-long resident of Camden County. She was raised in the Macks Creek area and after her marriage to Charlie, they resided in Climax Springs, where they lovingly raised their children. Wanetta made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ozark Bethel Chapel in Climax Springs. She was a member of the ladies group there. In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts and had made a quilt for each family member to keep and cherish. She also enjoyed crocheting in her earlier years. She spent time outdoors, growing flowers and gardening and enjoyed bird watching. She was always willing to cook or help others in need. Wanetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Ozark Bethel Chapel, Climax Springs, Missouri. Burial will be in the Adkins-Counts Cemetery at Venture Valley Resort. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
