Wayne O. Fritts (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Wayne Orville Fritts, son of Orville Anderson and Dorothy Louise Squire Fritts, was born January 25, 1944, in Waynesville, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in his home, near Laquey, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, three months, and twenty-five days.
On January 27, 2006, he was united in marriage to Constance E. Stewart, and they shared the last eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Constance, of the home; a daughter LeAnna Pitts, of Crocker, Missouri; a son, Kenton Fritts, of Buckhorn, Missouri; a step-daughter, Denise Henson, and her husband, Doug, of Richland, Missouri; two step-sons, Christopher Bridges, and his wife, Lena, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Don Bridges, of Peoria, Illinois; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Fritts, and his wife, Joyce, of Dixon, Missouri, and Roy Fritts, and his wife, Bobbie, of Waynesville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Waynesville area, and graduated from Waynesville High School in the Class of 1962. Early in his adult years, he worked as a Deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office for a few years. He was employed for twenty-seven and one half years by the Missouri Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measurements Division. Wayne also owned and operated a cattle farm for many years, which he greatly enjoyed.
Wayne was a member of the Sleeper United Methodist Church. He was a very giving man who liked helping others.
He loved everything to do with farming, and cattle. He liked drag racing, and kept involved in Fritts Brothers Speed Shop. He also had a fondness for horses. He was steadfast in his convictions and opinions. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his seventy years.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
