Wayne "Jay" Loney Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Wayne Everett “Jay” Loney, Jr., son of Wayne Everett Loney, Sr. and Victoria Janopaula Loney, was born July 12, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas. He departed this life Thursday, December 4, 2014, at his home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, four months, and twenty-two days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents that raised him, Clarence and Dollie Loney; and a daughter, Valarie Loney.
Jay is survived by two daughters, Janine Patey, and her husband, Richard, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Heather Mings, and her husband, Robert, of Marshfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; a great grand-daughter; two brothers, Larry and Gary Loney, both of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Beverly; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon area by his paternal grandparents, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He worked for Mid-America Dairy in Lebanon for a number of years, and was the production manager at the time the plant closed. He then worked for Highland Dairy in Springfield, Missouri for a few years until retiring.
He liked cars, especially Chevrolet Monte Carlos, and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt and loved to watch him race. He enjoyed being outdoors and appreciated the wonders of nature. He was a good neighbor and friend.
Jay will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
