Wayne Lancaster's Obituary
Jerry Wayne Lancaster, son of Jerry Dean and Annette Hopper Lancaster, was born July 12, 1965, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, December 14, 2008, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, five months, and two days. He was preceded in death by his father; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Wayne is survived by his children, Jennifer Johnson, of Cassville, Missouri, Steve Johnson, of Lebanon, Missouri, Daisy and Codie Lancaster, both of Long Lane, Missouri; his mother, Annette Lancaster, of Falcon, Missouri; two brothers, Billy Joe Lancaster, and Ruben Lancaster, both of Falcon, Missouri; a sister, Jerlyn Henderson, and her husband, Archie, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Lebanon and lived most of his life in the Falcon, Missouri area. He loved everything to do with the river and had worked as a river guide for several years. Wayne was a true “country boy” and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also liked to go mushroom hunting. He was full of life and was always willing to help others. He loved his family dearly and cared deeply for his children. He kept close to his father’s memory by wearing his wedding ring. Wayne was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be at 10:00 am at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be in the Monarch Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
