Wayne Anthony Sperko, Sr. (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Wayne Anthony Sperko, Sr., son of the late Anton and Nellie (Ernst) Sperko, was born on October 17, 1953 in Brownsville, PA and departed this life on March 21, 2025 in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 71 years, five months, and three days of age.
Wayne graduated from Buffalo High School in 1971. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo. He worked as a Long-Haul truck driver for over 39 years, and logged over seven million accident free miles driven in his career. During his time driving for FTC Inc., he made many trips into disaster zones after hurricanes and tornadoes, and was one of their top award winning drivers. His last place of employment as a driver was with Feed The Children out of Oklahoma City, OK. Wayne was united in marriage to Maulene Babcock and to this union two children were born, both of whom survive him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Maulene; one daughter, Tammie & husband Jonathan Cain; one son, Wayne A. Sperko, Jr. & wife Johanna; his grandchildren, Samuel Payne, Jacob Walker, Abigail Walker, Cassie Sperko, Christian Sperko, Lexie McCulloch, and Samuel A. McCulloch; and two great-grandchildren, Ashton Campbell and Levi Payne. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo.
