Weldon was always a welcome sight when visiting the nursing home. My father-in-law and him became pretty good buddies during the time Gorman spent there. I always enjoyed sitting and visiting with him. He was so interiesting and had many good stories to tell. My only regret is that I didn't know him in his younger days, he must have surely been an adventurer.
My prayers are with the family. And thank you Welcdon for making our hard time a little bit easter and brighter.

To all of our dear friends, the Uzzell's, please accept our heartfelt condolences. The friendship between the Walls and Uzzell families has lasted since 1940. Our families has shared so many happy times and also heartache. My sisters and I came to know the Uzzells' as our "uncles". Not by blood but by love. Your Dad and Uncle J were two of the last of the greatest generation. What a wonderful life your Dad has led. How proud you must all be. I happen to be visiting Uncle J and he is just getting over pneumonia. He wanted me to let you know that he eanted to be there for you all but he's not able. I will keep you all in my prayers-JoAnn

Wanda and Bill,

We are sorry for the loss of your father. We have heard many Daddy stories, but unfortunately never had the chance to meet him. We can only hope that we all live to be 97 years old and still enjoying spending time with friends from the racetracks.
