He departed this life Sunday, January 14, 2007, in his home, near Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, seven months, and twelve days. On August 29, 1986, he was united in marriage to Alma Carolyn Fletcher, and together they shared the last twenty-one years. His parents preceded him in death. Wes is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home; a son, Scott Podhradsky, and his wife, Donna, of the State of Arizona; a daughter, Laura Losch, and her husband, Ken, of the State of Illinois; a granddaughter, Alexandria Podhradsky, of the State of Arizona; three step-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Downers Grove, Illinois, where he graduated from high school. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1957. He met Carolyn in Augusta, Georgia in 1986 and they were married later that year. They continued to make their home in Georgia, while Wes worked as a quality control inspector for Georgia Power and Light. In 1995, he and Carolyn retired and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. In his spare time he enjoyed visiting with friends on his amateur radio and also liked doing woodworking and welding projects. Wes was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
