Wesley was born in Texas and moved to Hartville as a young child. He was a graduate of Hartville High School in the Class of 1981. He was a gifted woodworker and worked most of his life making decorative trim and other wood moldings.
He had accepted Christ and was baptized at Little Creek Church, where he was an active member.
Wesley was known for raising various forms of poultry and could be seen annually at the Jacob’s Cave Swap Meet in his usual spot selling and trading poultry and other goods. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in having one of the nicest rose beds around. In his younger years, Wesley enjoyed hunting and fishing. Spending time with his family and friends, and playing with his grand-dog Hooch, was very important to him.
Wesley was a loving husband, dad, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends.
