Wilbur Loyal Boring (Seymour)'s Obituary
Wilbur Loyal Boring, son of Orville and Lucille (Lockhart) Boring, was born April 1, 1938, in rural Seymour, Missouri, and departed this life on Monday, July 4, 2016, in Seymour, at the age of seventy-eight years, three months and three days.
On May 4, 1962, he was united in marriage to Peggy Sue Carolyn Duckworth and to this union one son was born. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalee; and his three brothers, James, Orville Eugene and Marvin Boring. Wilbur is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Peggy Sue of the home; son, Wilbur Boring, Jr., and wife, Kristine of Seymour; three grandchildren, Heather Knight, Emily Boring and Zachary Boring; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Juanita Finley and Elwanda Rennaker, both of Seymour, Deanna Fehrenbach of Springfield, Missouri, and JoEllen Smith of Washington, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was born in Seymour and was a graduate of the Seymour High School Class of 1955. Wilbur lived his entire life in the Seymour area, where he operated a dairy and beef farm on Finley Creek. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising horses and spending time with his family. Wilbur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and are deeply sorrowed at his passing.
Memorials in Wilbur's honor may be made to King's Food Pantry in Seymour, and left at the funeral home.
