Wilbur Dale Griffin's Obituary
Wilbur Dale Griffin, age 80, of Raytown, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He was born January 28, 1929 in Goodson, Missouri to Virgil Griffin and Laura Rice Griffin. He graduated from the Halfway High School in Halfway, Missouri. Dale married Florene Mae Andrews on April 11, 1954 at the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church. He was a current member of the Goodson Missionary Baptist Church in Goodson. He was a Area Transportation Authority Bus Driver in Kansas City, Missouri for 35 years retiring in 1989. Dale is survived by his wife, Florene Mae Griffin of Raytown, Missouri, a brother, Ray Griffin and his wife Marilyn of Bolivar, Missouri, two sisters, Lela Peoples and her husband Len of Grandview, Missouri, Leta Johnston of Raytown, Missouri, a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon Andrews and his wife Jan of Independence, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri with Bro. Jerry Crain officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be from 11:00am-12:00pm(Noon) at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar prior to leaving for the graveside service.
