Wilda D Jacobson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Wilda Dean (Miller) Jacobson, 88, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014, at Parkview Healthcare Facility.
Born on February 12, 1926 in Aldrich, Missouri, Wilda was the oldest of three children born to Ira Ingle and Fay Attral (Degraffenreid) Miller. After graduating from Fair Play High School, Wilda met her husband, Victor Jacobson, and they were married on June 2, 1946 at Fair Play United Methodist Church. Wilda and Victor settled in Kansas City, Missouri, where they raised five children: Stephen, Donald, Fayanne, Vicki and Michele.
Known for her quick wit and spirited personality, Wilda loved crossword puzzles, a good joke, and lively conversations about current events. She was a gardener, bird lover, and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast. Wilda was also a talented cook. Her family will fondly remember holiday dinners as her famous brisket and candied apples are recreated, and will also, no doubt, continue to wonder why the cheese potatoes never taste quite like hers. Wilda’s signature gift, though, was her endless love of and dedication to her family, and her devotion will never be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to be loved by her.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; a son, Stephen; and two brothers, Bobby Miller and his wife Dorothy, and Wayne Miller.
She is survived by her children, Donald Jacobson, of Bolivar, Fayanne Bullis and her husband, Jim Bullis, of Miller, Missouri, Vicki Chastain and her husband, Phillip Chastain, of Roswell, Georgia, Michele Haidai and her husband, Tony Haidai, of Wichita, Kansas; her daughter-in-law, Laurie Jacobson, of Chesterfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Wendy Jacobson of Ballwin, Missouri, Nicole Jacobson of Arlington, Virginia, Stephen Jacobson, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, Brian Jacobson of Bangkok, Thailand, Chad and Stacy Bullis of Bellevue, Nebraska, Ashley and Nick Kremer of Columbia, Missouri, and Rachel and Damon Phillips of Springfield, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Samantha Braaten, Chey Bullis, Shakeida Bullis, Liam Kremer, Ellison Kremer, Atticus Kremer, Connor Phillips and Samuel Phillips; a sister-in-law, Melba Miller of Springfield, Missouri; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
