Wilda Waterman's Obituary
Wilda Faye Waterman, daughter of James Robert and Maggie Ellen Conn Moore, was born January 19, 1921, near Eldridge, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, six months, and seven days. On January 26, 1938, in Eldridge, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lowell Waterman, and to this union two daughters were born. She and Lowell celebrated sixty-two years of marriage before his passing on October 25, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James R., Luther, George, and Wando Moore; and four sisters, Lora Bell, Gladys Waters, Dolly Hunt, and Nadine Osborn. Wilda is survived by two daughters, Violet Harenza, and her husband, John, and Sandra Massey, and her husband, Bob, all of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Mike Harenza, of Olathe, Kansas, Matt Harenza, and his wife, Theresa, of Carthage, Missouri, Mark Harenza, and his wife, Sheri, of Iberia, Missouri, Randall Shelton, and his wife, Rachael, of Crane, Missouri, Scott Shelton, and his wife, Shannon, of Richland, Missouri, and Kevin Shelton, and his wife, Sandy, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Jewell Gregory, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Hazel Waterman, of Eldridge, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in the Eldridge community. After she and Lowell were married, they made their home on their farm near Eldridge, and lovingly raised their daughters. In 1970, she and Lowell moved into Lebanon and made their home. Throughout her life, Wilda was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family. Wilda made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Eldridge, Missouri. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her garden where she grew many beautiful flowers. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing special recipes for her family and friends. Later in her life, she enjoyed watching television, particularly her favorite program, “The Price Is Right”. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday July 29, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Chapel, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetey. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
