Willa Manes' Obituary
Mrs. Willa Marie Manes, age 85, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Thursday morning, September 15, 2011 at Citizen?s Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar.
She was born on February 12, 1926 in Gerster, Missouri, the daughter of Harry Ahart and Martha (Todd) Ahart.
Willa was married on March 19, 1950 in Bolivar, Missouri to Homer Sidney Manes. She was a Garment Factory Worker for 18 years and was a homemaker caring for her husband and family and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister; Ruby Campbell and two brothers; Bradford Ahart and Lawrence Ahart.
Willa is survived by her four daughters; Jean Kirby and her husband James of Bolivar, Missouri, Connie Cook and her husband Charles of Bolivar, Missouri, Joann Brown and her husband Marlyn of Springfield, Missouri, Dorothy Beesley and her husband Donald of Bolivar, Missouri, one son; Sidney Manes and his wife Vickie of Bolivar, Missouri, two sisters; Frances Thomason of Bolivar, Missouri, Juanita Gaddy and her husband Verl of Bolivar, Missouri, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00pm on Sunday afternoon, September 18, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday morning, September 19, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Chapel with Chaplain James O. Friend officiating. Musical selections will be ?Great Speckled Bird?, ?Beyond The Sunset? and ?Just As I Am? being sung by Alicia Kirby. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery in Polk, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Jim Kirby, Tim Kirby, Jeff Kirby, Chris Kirby, Paul Cook, Jerry Brown and John Hicks.
