Willia 's Obituary
William Russell Spratt, Jr., son of William Russell and Geraldine Violet Puff Spratt, was born July 24, 1954, in Fort Riley, Kansas. He departed this life Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in his home near Seymour, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, two months, and twenty-eight days. On October 16, 2004, he was united in marriage to Starr Marie Hamilton and together they have spent the last four years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill is survived by his wife, Starr, of the home; a daughter, Ann Marie Spratt, of Park Hills, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Dustie Rachelle Penn, and Dalena Marie Mitchell, both of Mansfield, Missouri, and Nicole Leigh Mitchell, of Seymour, Missouri; a brother, Jim Spratt, of Manitou Springs, Colorado; his twin sister, Jerry Ann Cotton, of Chaparral, New Mexico; two sisters, Jo Fernandez, of Houston, Texas, and Mae Gilliam, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; a nephew, Donnie Haney, of Springfield, Missouri; a great nephew, Dakota Haney, of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. While growing up, his father was a military career man and moved the family to various places. He also entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged. He moved to Seymour eleven years ago and worked at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Marshfield. In his spare time he enjoyed working on small engines, playing games on the Playstation II, and going fishing. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 25, 2008 in the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Seymour. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
