William "Bill" Bench (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William “Bill” David Bench was born September 7, 1951 in Lebanon, Missouri to William Victor Bench and Janet (Uder) (Bench) Lindsay. He passed away May 28, 2022 in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Bench, of the home; a son, Jacob Bench of Lebanon; one sister, Vicki (Bench) Hilton and her husband, Mark; two step-children, Michael and Ashleigh Bogina; numerous aunts, uncles, nephew’s and niece’s.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Eugene Bench.
Bill grew up in Lebanon and attended Lebanon High School. He excelled in athletics and was a varsity start in basketball and track. He went on to attend Missouri State University and following graduation, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served with distinction as a helicopter pilot and was deployed to Beirut, Lebanon. He later had the distinction of being selected for the honor guard in Washington D.C. He was promoted to the rank of Captain and later served as an Instructor Pilot at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station in Texas.
Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many happy hours enjoying these sports with his relatives and friends in Brownfield, Missouri. He was blessed with role models of his parents, grandparents and his Uncle Bud. He was loved dearly by all and early in life put his trust in God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Bill will live on in the lives of all he touched and will always be fondly remembered.
