William "Bill" Hyde's Obituary
William Richard Hyde, son of Robert and Frances Lamborne Hyde was born November 19, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He departed this life on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri at the age of sixty-eight years, five months and six days.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob Hyde and a sister, Peggy Back.
He is survived by three daughters, Kim Cantrell and her husband Scott of Mansfield, Missouri, Lisa Gower and her husband Toby of Rogersville, Missouri and Linda Hyde; two sons, Ricky Hyde and his wife Brandy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Joey Kessleski and his wife Barbara of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren; a brother, Don Hyde and his wife Pat of Bensalem, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Maryanne Kelly and her husband Bob, Patsy Phillips and her husband Nelson and Nancy Seiss and her husband Bob all of Tampa, Florida; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hyde of Aberdeen, Maryland; several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.
Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia and was drafted into the Army in 1966 where he received two purple hearts and a bronze star while faithfully serving his country.
In 1976 he bought a farm near Mansfield, Missouri where he lived the rest of his life. He was a truck driver and a farmer and loved his animals, especially his buffalo.
Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge and in his spare time he liked to fish and hunt. He also liked to travel and spent most winters in Florida.
He loved spending time with his family and his grandkids were his pride and joy.
Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories.
Services for Bill Will be held at 2 PM Friday Apr 30, 2010, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Missouri.
A Visitation will be from 1 pm until service time, Friday.
Burial will be at a later date in the Shiloh cemetery in Douglas County.
