William L. Carey (Bolivar)'s Obituary
William “Bill” Lee Carey, 77, Bolivar, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.
Chaplain James Friend will conduct funeral services 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held 5:00 7:00 PM Monday, October, 12 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will take place 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery south of Springfield.
Bill was born September 25, 1938 in Knoxville, TN to Burnice and Stelle (Garnett) Carey. He served in the US Marine Coprs. Bill had worked as an over the road trucker for many years with the handle name of “Widow Maker”. Driving for RBX Transportation in Springfield, Mo, Tri State Motor Transit in Joplin, MO and AJ Metler in Knoxville, TN.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Carey of the home; Children, Pamela Cameron Bolivar, MO, Michael and his wife Ruthie Baird of Mesa, AZ and Theresa and her husband Paul David Borden of Osceola, AR; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many more family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Carey funeral fund and left in the care of the Butler Funeral Home. 407 E. Broadway Bolivar, MO 65613
