William Hosea Bill Pyatt's Obituary
William Hosea Pyatt, son of Everett and Gladys (Nichols) Pyatt, was born February 8, 1936 near Hartville, Missouri. He departed this life January 7, 2008, at his family farm near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, ten months, and twenty-nine days. On August 29, 1977 he was united in marriage to Freda Elizabeth Hill and together they spent the last thirty years. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, JoElla Pyatt; and a sister, Wilda Hudson. Bill is survived by his wife, Freda, of the home; his children, Eileen Johnson, and her husband, Thomas, of Lake Geneva, Florida, Everett Pyatt, and his wife, Jeanette, of Tuscumbia, Missouri, Dean Pyatt, and his wife, Loretta, of Hartville, Missouri, Steve Thomlinson, of Hartville, Missouri, and Robin Summey, and her husband, Charles, of Acworth, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Josh, Jared, Amy, Lindsay, Jamin, Anthony, Chelsie, Joseph, Logan, Brad, Melinda, and Kenny; one great-granddaughter, Lauren; a sister, Marianna Newton, and her husband, J.C., of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a cousin who was a like brother, Tom Pyatt, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He was born and raised in the Odin Community and attended the New Mountain Dale School where he rarely missed a day. He graduated from Seymour High School and continued to live in the Odin Community. He worked for the MFA Feeder Pig Division and was a farmer his whole life. Bill had made his profession of faith in Christ early in his life and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and served as a song leader for twenty-five years and was a member of the cemetery board. He also served as Treasurer for the Soil and Water Conservation District, he was the supervisor for MFA Feeder Pig Tel-A-Auction, and was a board member on the Hartville Rural Fire Department. His family was very important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing at the Senior Citizens and going to church singings. He was a great friend and neighbor and was always willing to give a helping hand or lend a tool. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2008, in Mt. Zion Church, Hartville, Missouri. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri. Memorials to Mt.
