William Kapp's Obituary
William “Bill” Kapp, Jr., son of William and Edytha May French Kapp, was born October 22, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He departed this life Thursday, July 22, 2011 in the Hartville Care Center, Hartville, Missouri, at the age of 85 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Kapp. Bill is survived by his daughter, Barbara Davio and her husband, Mike, of Gladbrook, Iowa; two grandsons, John Thomas of Winterset, Iowa, and Robert Michel of Clawson, Michigan; a sister, Dorothy Mayer of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and a number of nephews. He was born and raised in the Minneapolis area until he was fifteen years of age when the family moved to Wisconsin. In October 1944, Bill entered the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged in June 1946. Soon after, Bill went to Chicago to attend trade school. Returning to Wisconsin, Bill had a milk route and later worked in a factory. Later he moved to Iowa where he worked in a factory making tool boxes for Sears. In the late 1980’s he retired to Missouri to be with his brother, Ralph. In March 2009 he went to the Hartville Care Center where he made many friends.
Bill was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
