William McGhee's Obituary
William McGhee, son of Lige and Annie Wyant McGhee, was born May 7, 1927, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, February 20, 2006, in Lake Regional Health System, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, nine months, and thirteen days. In June of 1985, he was united in marriage to Marguerite McGhee. His parents, and his wife, Marguerite, preceded him in death. William is survived by three step-children, Steve Kralina, and his wife, Denise, Loretta Jones, and her husband, Jimmy, all of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, and Michael Kralina, and his wife, Linda, of Chesterfield, Missouri; two step-grandsons, Adam and Glen Kralina; as well as a host of many friends. He was born and raised in the Kansas City area and lived most of his life there. Throughout the years, he worked as a truck driver. He retired to the Lake of the Ozarks area about twenty-five years ago. William had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Kansas City for several years. He was active in the community and volunteered his time to several organizations including the Community for Christ Food Pantry where he was known as “Mr. Bill the Pantry Man”. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and boating. William will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2006, in the First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach. Private burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations to the First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach or Community for Christ Food Pantry may be made through the funeral home.
