William "Bill" Nimmo (Buffalo)'s Obituary
William “Bill” Claude Nimmo, 81, Elkland, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born July 6, 1941 in Charity, MO, the son of John and Martha Nimmo. Bill attended Charity and Elkland schools then graduated from Buffalo High School in 1959. On January 22, 1961, Bill married the love of his life, Mary Ellen Johnson. They were married for 62 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Bill was a dedicated farmer, milking cows and working the land his entire life. Bill turned his life over to the Lord in 1961 and was baptized the same year with his brother Doyle.
Bill was preceded in death by his son Doug Nimmo; siblings Marjorie Powell, Phylis Sharp, Helen Armstrong, John Jr. Nimmo, Doyle Nimmo, and stepbrother Junior Canon. He is survived by his wife Mary Nimmo; son Troy Nimmo (Stephanie); daughter Deana Butcher (Michael); grandchildren Ashley Prieto (Josiah), Jordan Butcher (Cole), Austin Butcher, Dawson Nimmo (Ashley), Kayli Nimmo, Nicole Stander (Kevin), great grandchildren Josi Prieto, Lane and Lennon Stander; siblings Chuck Nimmo, Polly Lillegard; step sister Oretha Couch; brothers-in-law Donnie Johnson, Jim Johnson (Karren), Buddy Armstrong; sister-in-law Carol Nimmo; numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Visitation is at 1:00 PM followed by services at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Canton-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the McGee Cemetery Fund.
