William "Billy" Nutter, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William “Billy” Barton Nutter, Jr. of Lebanon, Missouri passed away in his home Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born May 18, 1952 in Lebanon, Missouri to William Nutter, Sr. and Wilma Shelton Nutter.
Billy moved with his family to Florida during his early years and at age fifteen, returned to Lebanon. He graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1969. Following graduation, he married the love of his life, Barbara Long on October 16, 1970. They had two sons and a daughter and together they raised their family, sharing the joys and laughter and trials of life for over fifty-two years.
He joined the United States Army and served in Germany. After his time in the Army, he returned to Lebanon and began working for Bass Tracker.
He loved riding his four wheeler on his farm and spending time with his grandchildren. They were the light of his life and he enjoyed playing with them and attending events they were involved in.
He loved the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri. He liked hunting and fishing and spending time outside as much as he could.
Above all, Billy loved his family deeply and loved God. He was a longtime member of Bennett Spring Church of God and was ready to spend eternity with Him.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Coffman.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his daughter, Lindsay Grimes and her husband, Dewayne of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, James Nutter and his wife, Felicia and John Nutter, all of Lebanon, Missouri; his brother, Randy Nutter of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mikayla Grimes, Shelby Grimes, Jace Nutter and Zander Campbell; as well as many friends and his church family.
Billy was a loving, Christian man and will be remembered for his kindness and compassion for others. He will be forever loved and remembered by his family and friends.
A memorial has been established to the Gideon Ministry and donations may be made through the funeral home.
