William "Bill" Pankey (Buffalo)'s Obituary
William J. “Bill” Pankey, son of the late Carl B. and Elsie E. (Holt) Pankey was born on August 24, 1930 in Elkland, Missouri and departed this life on April 22, 2021 at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO. At the time of his passing he was 90 years, seven months, and 27 days of age.
Bill was united in marriage to Iris Jean on October 1, 1950 and to this union two children were born. Bill worked for Owen’s Corning Fiberglass for 37 years. In 1987 Bill and Iris moved to Buffalo, MO where they became members of the New Hope Baptist Church. In 2015, Bill moved to Willow Springs to live with his niece Carla and her husband Ron.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Iris; his parents; two sons, Phillip Pankey and William G. Pankey; his sister, Neda Evelyn Atterberry; two brothers Carl, Jr. and Robert Pankey; and three nephews, Andy Atterberry, David Pankey, and Curtis Pankey. He is survived by his niece, Carla and husband Ron Cox; one nephew, Shelby Atterberry; and one sister-in-law, Winnie Pankey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideon’s.
