William Pollock (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William Dean “Bill” Pollock, son of Russell and Sara Irene King Pollock, was born January 26, 1941, in Valparaiso, Indiana. He departed this life Thursday, November 11, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, nine months, and fifteen days.
Early in his life, he was united in marriage to Connie Castleman, and to this union four sons were born.
On December 12, 1975, he married Patty C. Sutherland Bohannon, and became step-father to two sons and a daughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Everett Calton; a beloved son, Danny Pollock; and two sisters, Barbara Lowery, and her husband, Sherman, and Norma Coghill.
Bill is survived by three sons, Darrell Pollock, and his wife, Suzie, of Lebanon, Missouri, Russell “Rusty” Pollock, and his wife, Jovana, of Highlandville, Missouri, and Christopher “Chris” Pollock, and his wife, Diana, of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-sons, William “Buck” Bohannon, and his wife, Telina, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Billy Bryon Bohannon, and his wife, Reggie, of Grovespring, Missouri; a step-daughter, Barbara Bohannon, of Lebanon, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Indiana, and then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked as a truck driver. Later, Bill moved to Lebanon, where he met and married Patty. Bill worked as a core buyer, a painter and an exterminator throughout the years.
Bill made his profession of faith in Christ in his later days, and went to church with Patty when he could. He said prayers every morning and night.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, hunting, camping, and taking trips through the country. He loved his and Patty’s poodle, “Snicker”, and enjoyed having company during his last days. His family was very important to him and he was very proud of all of his children, step-children, and grandchildren.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
