William Poston (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William James Poston, son of Woodrow and Amy Hendricks Poston, was born December 26, 1944, in Oklahoma. He departed this life Saturday, September 9, 2017, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, eight months, and sixteen days.
He was united in marriage to Linda Swigert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Jay Poston; and several sisters.
William is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; two sons, Billy Parker, of the State of Oregon, and Daniel Coffey, of Lebanon, Missouri; three daughters, Brittany Velde, Billie McMillan Burke, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Angie Hendricks, of the State of Oregon; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Martin Poston, of the State of Washington, Joe Poston, of the State of Oklahoma, Tommy Poston, Ray Poston, and Henry Poston, all of the State of Oregon, and Dal Poston, of the State of Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Hogan, of the State of Arizona, and Kathy Davis, of the State of Texas; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Oklahoma and then lived most of his life in Oregon. He made his home in Lebanon for the last several years and had worked as a janitor at the B & D Truck Port, in Lebanon.
He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
