William Rachau (Camdenton)'s Obituary
WILLIAM CLAY RACHAU , son of Frankie Lee and Faye Helms Rachau, was born April 9, 1932 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and departed this life October 21, 2018 in his Richland, MO home at the age of eighty-six.
He served in the United States National Guard for six months, the United States Navy for three and a half years, and then served in the United States Air Force for sixteen years. He retired in 1970 having attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. He also served for the United States Postal Service for ten years.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Jones on May 10, 1957.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of the home; one son, Alex Rachau of Hampton, Georgia; three daughters, Sharron Hammer of Stoutland, Missouri, Christine Rachau-Fisher of Montreal, Missouri and Jennifer and her husband Jamie Mathis of Camdenton, Missouri; one brother, Clifford Rachau of Altoona, Iowa; three sisters, Madgie Foote of Bellview, Nebraska, Phyllis Monroe of Bonderant, Iowa and Carolyn Sue Childers of Russellville, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Lee Rachau; two brothers, Frank Rachau, Sr. and Robert Rachau; one sister, Mary Nagunst; and two grandchildren.
