William Rains (Humansville)'s Obituary
William Rains, age 80, of Humansville, Missouri, died at his home on Thursday, March 3, 2016.
Bill was born on February 16, 1936, in Humansville, Missouri, to Roland and Elizabeth (Hamm) Rains. As a child he was a member of a boy's quartet that traveled the area, singing Christian music.
On November 25, 1987, he married the love of his life, Barbara, at a special ceremony, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they made a home for themselves in Humansville. Bill was a member of the Christian Church there, and later at Stockton. On Monday nights he would go calling on people, and deliver communion and minister to them. He was a very kind, and sweet to everyone he ever met. Even at the end of his life when he was in pain, his kindness was evident.
He loved country music, as well as gardening and farming. He could often be found out in his garden working, waving to people as they passed by.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home; eight children; many grand, and great grandchildren; numerous other family members; and special friends, Bill Meier, and Phil and Terry.
