William Ray Richey (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William Ray Richey, son of William E. and Frances M. Haworth Richey, was born June 9, 1958, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months, and five days.
On August 2, 2004, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Cummins, and they shared the last eleven years.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother-in-law, Ronnald McDannald.
William is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; his mother, Frances Richey, of Olathe, Kansas; his step-mother, Judy Richey, of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, James Richey, and his wife, Carol, of Olathe, Kansas; four sisters, his twin, Ramona Kay McKimm, and her partner, Charles Arms, of Lebanon, Missouri, Ruth McDannald, Jody Alley, and her husband, Kevin, and Sheila Davis, all of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Ray Cummins, and his wife, Debbie, of Shortcreek, Michigan, and Steve Cummins, of the State of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Olathe, Kansas, and graduated from Olathe Senior High School in the Class of 1977. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army beginning in 1979. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he made his home in Missouri, first in the Ava area, and then in Lebanon in 2002. William had worked for the Emerson Electric Company (formerly Copeland) for thirty-four years. Once he and Patricia were married, they made their home in Lebanon.
Billy loved reading his Bible and listening to gospel music. He had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. He also liked listening to country music. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
William was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
