William S. McGlothlin (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mr. William Stanley McGlothlin, age 75, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Saturday morning, June 18, 2011 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born January 26, 1936 in Elizabeth, Arkansas to William Samuel McGlothlin and Sarah A. (Roberts) McGlothlin.
On March 15, 1957 he married Bernice Taylor in Kansas City, Missouri.
William was a mechanic and welder for Jack Cooper Transportation Company for 18 years prior to retirement in 1992. He and his wife moved to Bolivar, Missouri in November of 1998 from Lee’s Summit, Missouri where they reside for 25 years. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Mark McGlothlin, his sister, Naomi Sue Paden and an infant sister.
William is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernice McGlothlin of the home, his son, David McGlothlin and his wife Jennifer of Ponca City, Oklahoma, his brother; James McGlothlin of Viola, Arkansas, four grandchildren; Karran McGlothlin, Lindsay McGlothlin, Ryan McGlothlin, Matthew Duffy, two great grandchildren; Tristen Duffy and Wyatt Cole Springer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “I’ll Fly Away” by Alan Jackson and “Amazing Grace” by Darlene Zschech. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday just prior to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David McGlothlin, Ryan McGlothlin, Terry Emanuel, Mike Taylor, John Taylor and Jeff Taylor.
