William O. Sweat (Lebanon)'s Obituary
On February 12, 1950, William (Bill) Orval Sweat was born to William Gilbert Maddy and Lottie Mae Burton Maddy in Bethany, Missouri. He passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was seventy-four years, four months of age.
Bill was raised in Missouri and at the age of eighteen, he moved to California where he lived for forty years. He then returned to Lebanon, Missouri where he was employed at Tracker Boats. He worked in the shipping department there.
Bill followed the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, William Leonard Lanham.
Bill is survived by his mother, Lottie Lanham of Lebanon, Missouri.
He enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing. Bill also loved reading and had many, many books.
He loved his mother dearly through all of life’s trials. She stood by him and helped him through each obstacle and was his biggest cheerleader. His absence will leave a big void in the life of his dear mother and in the lives of those who knew him.
A private burial will be held.
