William (Toad) Noll (Bolivar)'s Obituary
William Francis "Toad" Noll went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to so many loved ones.
Toad was born on March 30, 1939, in Atchison, Kansas, to William K. Noll and Lilias Noll. He graduated from DeKalb High School. In early years, he did numerous handyman jobs. During the 1970's, he was a sewing machine mechanic, and did upholstery work on the side.
Toad married Carolyn Neil on May 6, 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri. In June of 1978, they welcomed a baby girl, Cheri Lynn, into the world, to join the other six siblings from a now blended family. They lived in the Kansas City area until they moved to Bolivar in March of 1993. In his spare time, he loved going camping with his grandkids and taking them fishing. He loved taking his camper and going to Colorado Springs to see his daughter Lisa and her family, where they would stay a month or so. When in Missouri, he would go sightseeing, visit many different lakes, or gather family and go boating, swimming, and fishing.
Toad was an all-around handyman, and he has a workshop to prove it! For a time, he helped Kerr Building to construct many houses in the Bolivar area. He personally built the kitchen cabinets in his own house. He worked with Cheri's husband, Ray, to build many different props for his granddaughter Mikayla's many dance competitions. He loved woodworking, and built many different items for family members, but his most cherished were definitely the dresser and desk he built for Mikayla. He loved to help elderly ladies from church with any household tasks that he could. Whenever he was not building or repairing, he could usually be found in front of his C.B. radio, and he had many friends from all over the country who knew him as "the Ugly Buzzard, 2-6-0."
Toad is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cheri Becker, a son, Wesley Noll, and brothers Kenneth and Jimmy. He is survived by his wife, daughter Lisa Logan and husband Jimmy , son Jeff Noll and wife Maija, son-in-law Ray Becker and his special friend Barbara Lee, son Billy Noll and wife Kim, son Andrew Noll and wife Candy, son Warren Noll and wife Cheri, daughter Jenise Barnette and husband Brian. He has sixteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Toad's life will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, at Butler Funeral Home, with a visitation at 1pm and service at 2pm, with a private interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to Heritage Baptist Church.
