William Lindon Walker (Buffalo)'s Obituary
William Lindon Walker, son of the late George A. and Valerie A. (Glaub) Walker, was born on July 23, 1952 in Centerville, IA, and departed this life on January 20, 2025 in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 72 years, five months, and 26 days of age.
William was raised and attended school in Centerville, IA. He served his country in the United States Navy for 13 years. He was able to cross the equator twice, climb the pyramids and Mt. Fuji, and saw places most people can only dream of. After his time of service in the Navy, William was united in marriage to Lee Ann Leiterman on October 11, 1980, in Antigo, WI. He worked as a Journeyman Union Carpenter for many years in commercial construction. William enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, and was an avid Numismatist or coin collector. He was very knowledgeable and could tell you all about coins and what they might be worth. William was also very active with his son Drew as a Cub Scout Leader, helping his troop get every badge available.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Trinity Marie Walker; two brothers, George Walker and James Walker; and two sisters, Sandra K. Ladner and Valerie D. Harmon. He is survived by his wife Lee Ann; his son, Drew Walker; one brother, Joseph Walker; and two sisters, Debbie & husband Allen Wilson and Mary Beth Hartley. He also leaves other family members, many friends, and the great guys who met him for breakfast every morning.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Jessie Jordan Officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
