William "Bill" Woodruff (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William Austin Woodruff, son of Joe Norman Woodruff, Sr. and Marcella Stewart Long, was born November 30, 1966, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in his home, in Cassville, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, and twenty-three days.
On April 13, 2009, he was united in marriage to Robyn Nicole Cooner, and they shared the last eleven years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe Norman Woodruff, Jr.; and his step-father, Terry Long.
Bill is survived by his wife, Robyn, of the home; two daughters, Marissa Woodruff, and Allyssa Woodruff, both of Cassville, Missouri; three sons, William A. Woodruff, Jr., Jayden Woodruff, and Austin Woodruff, all of Cassville, Missouri; two grandsons, Tristan, and William Austin, III, “Trey”; two step-brothers, Mitch Long, of Jenkins, Missouri, and Marty Long, of Republic, Missouri; a step-sister, Michelle Willis, of Marionville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1985. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 until 1989, spending two years of that time in Spain. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he lived in Arizona and California before returning to the Lebanon, Missouri area. He worked at Independent Stave Company, which is now Missouri Cooperage, and also did garage door repair work for Overhead Doors. He later moved to Cassville, Missouri and worked as a machine maintenance man for IDF Foods in Monett, Missouri.
He was a great fan of football and particularly liked the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed listening to music of various kinds. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them through the years.
Services will be Monday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A visitation will be held Sunday evening, Dec. 27, from 5- 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.
