William "Bill" Reid (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William Lee Reid, son of Kennard and Mary Ann McCracken Reid, was born May 10, 1942, near Falcon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, ten months, and two days.
His parents preceded him in death.
Bill is survived by a sister, Virginia Burch, of the State of California; several half-brothers and half-sisters; a number of cousins, including Raymond E. Burch, of Richland, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
“Smiley”, as he was called by his family and friends, was born and raised in the Falcon community, and as a child enjoyed playing with a stick horse, pretending it was a real horse. He then attended Mount Salem School. He lived most of his life in the Lebanon area and was a resident of the Applewood Lane Group Home for sixteen years. He always enjoyed helping his cousin, Raymond, haul wood and greatly enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with his friends. He liked watching John Wayne movies, the Gunsmoke television program, and listening to all types of country music. He loved watching baseball games and collecting baseball cards. He also liked playing basketball.
Bill will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
