On September 3, 1949, she was united in marriage to William Barton Nutter, Sr., and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Sharon Nutter Coffman.
Wilma is survived by her husband of seventy years, Bill, of the home; two sons, Bill Nutter, Jr., and his wife, Barbara, and Randy Nutter, and his wife, Barbara, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son-in-law, Wayne Coffman, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Springfield, Missouri, and was raised in Springfield and Lebanon. After she and Bill were married, they made their home in Florida for thirteen years. Eventually, the family came back to Lebanon where she and Bill finished raising their family. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and children, Wilma worked as a cashier at the M.F.A. Store, Ronnie’s Market, and then for the H. D. Lee Company for several years.
Wilma attended Bennett Spring Church of God for many years, and had recently attended Shepherd’s Chapel Church.
She and Bill loved to travel and Wilma liked taking care of their home both inside and outside. She enjoyed playing cards and preferred to win. She also had done some quilting through the years. She was a hard working woman who loved her family dearly, especially all of her grandchildren.
Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during eighty-eight years.
