Winona Mossburg (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Myrtle Winona Mossburg, daughter of Wilbur and Geraldine Clark Gelpin, was born June 13, 1920, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, ten months and twenty-five days.
She was united in marriage to Charles Reagan Mossburg and they shared many happy years of marriage.
Winona was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Miller and his wife, Peggy, of Kansas City, Missouri, Danny Miller and his significant other, Kay Harris, of Gladstone, Missouri, and James Sneed of Warsaw, Missouri; five grandchildren, Mike Miller, Jr., Elizabeth Tipton, Patricia Turnbull, Jason Miller and Christopher Miller; several great-grandchildren and a host of many friends.
Winona was raised in Independence, Missouri, and later lived in Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked in a plastics factory in Kansas. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1978. While at the lake, she worked as a cook for the Y.A.C.C. Camp in Kaiser, Missouri.
In her spare time, she enjoyed working word search puzzles. In her younger years, she spent many hours gardening.
We celebrate Winona’s life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
