Linda Hines Alfred
Mr. Turner was a very special man. His daughter Twana and I were best Friends from the time we were in Ms. Huffman's second grade class all throughout High School. Anytime I would see Mr. Turner in town or when I got to stay overnight at their house, he treated me just like one of his kids. Mr. and Mrs. Turner also let Twana come spend the night at my house too which meant a lot to me.
Years and years after I left Hartville but would drive down that curvy road road to a Fall Festival or some other event, if I saw Mr. Turner outside by his feed store I would pull in and he would always seem so glad to see me. He just had a way of making you feel special.
I would like to thank the Turner Family, especially Twana and David, for sharing their parents with so many of us. Mr. Turner will be missed but never forgotten.
